Today we drove to Heidelberg. We had always heard about it from people we new in the Army but had never visited.
The streets are lined with shops and restaurants.
Elaine, Edward and Ortrun in front of Museum (it doesn’t mean we went IN the museum)
Lots of flowers and sidewalk cafes
Great looking buildings and plazas.
Schlosshof (Castle) Heidelberg on the hilltop 300 ft above the city.
Bridge and Gate into Heidelberg
Edward overlooking Heidelberg and the River Neckar from the Heidelberg Castle.
Largest Wine Barrel holds over 58,000 gallons of wine – the Heidelberg Tun or Grasses fass is 6 meters high (20 ft)
There is a spiral staircase leading to the top of the barrel.
ESPN truck came to show the German Women’s Soccer Team play on screen set up in plaza.
I have a thing for the signs in Europe. I have no idea what kind of shop this would be.
Barge waiting on the locks. Here we are on the bridge.
dog at a table next to us at a restaurant. They will also take them inside of restaurants.
We saw so many beautiful flowers and great scenery and castles on the way back to Rosshof.
