Wednesday, October 5, 2011 – Bellagio, Italy on Lake Como

We are having a more relaxed few days here on the lake. We have been going at such a rapid lately we need a few days of leisure. This is a perfect place for that. We drove from Lecco to Bellagio just a few kilometers away. It was a narrow 2 lane road with a lot of curves and tunnels right along the mountainside on one side and Lake Como on the other. After looking around Bellagio we took the ferry.  The Ferry is like a hop on hop off all day to several locations.  We took the one that makes a triangle from Bellagio to Varenna, then to Managgio and on the return it goes back to Varenna and then to Bellagio . The weather was super but later in the afternoon a fog or haze came in over the lake. We were still able to have a great view though

I didn’t find George today, I’ll keep looking.

Looking back at Bellagio from the Ferry.  Bellagio is located at the middle point of the inverted  “Y” of the lake.  Como is at the bottom of the left arm of the inverted “Y” and Lecco is at the bottom of the right arm of the inverted “Y”
