After 3 weeks in 'Vienna with side trips to Bratislava and Budapest, a cruise down the Danube and an unauthorized visit to the circus, we must sadly say goodbye to this lovely old city. Vienna is not the quaint city we discovered 25 years ago, but it is still a much more laid back place than Paris. Tomorrow we move on for 4 days in Prague followed by 8 days in Berlin where we will meet a dear friend coming from the US to run the Berlin marathon. After that is a classic European overnight train from Berlin to Verona where we begin the final Italian leg of our European adventure and Elaine will finally see Lake Como. After 10 days in northern Italy we meet friends in Venice who wlll be touring with us the last two weeks of our trip then returning on the cruise ship with us from Rome to Galveston.
We got to the train station and waiting for our train another train came into the station – it was an old coal engine. Smoked up the place but everyone was taking pictures of it.
Fields of Pumkins on the way to Prague.
Border of Czech Republic – It was interesting to see the difference going into this country.
first stop after crossing border
Nice flowers on the light posts
Anatomical Clock with figurines that come out every hour.
Republika Restaurant across from our hotel.
