Saturday, October 1, 2011 – Verona, Italy – Train from Berlin to Munich Germany to Verona, Italy

he 1st we changed trains in Munich to Verona.  On the The train from Munich was so scenic. We went through Germany, Austria, and then to Verona Italy

Arrived in Verona at 1:04 checked in the hotel then we to the old city and walked around. then saw a little tram car city tour had dinner the back to the hotel to get some real rest after the overnight train to Munich of 9 hours then 6 hours on to Verona. It is warm in Verona about 80-85 degrees. Our hotel had a good air conditioner and in a quite area so we got to sleep late. That afternoon we decided to rent bikes and tour the city on our own. Had a great ride very easy and mostly flat in the old city. We saw some beautiful vineyards, villages, mountains, bridges, and highways.

In Verona we went to the Plaza where they have a large Arena. The taxi drive asked if we wanted to go to the Arena and we just said “Yes” Thought that was probably the tourist area. and it was!
