Sunday, September 25, 2011 Berlin, Germany - Marathon Day!

Kim Finished, Super celebration dinner with all.

Today is the Berlin Marathon and we will be watching Kimberly run from several areas.  Christina has several locations where we can watch her go by and cheer her on to the finish.  Based on her time we should be able to see her at 3 kilometers, 14 kilometers, 23 kilometers and 38 kilometers.  We will not be able to see the actual finish but we will meet up with her at the U.S. Embassy building nearby.

The race has started and we will also be racing around using the subway to go to the points we have arranged with Kimberly to meet.

Now she is showing off with an “action” pose.  It is early in the race.  Feeling good at this time.

We go on the subway or walk to each location to meet up with Kim.

Here she comes again.  Now she has a running buddy.  Edward greets them as they go by.

    

 

 

Christina’s friend, Africia, is getting some local knowledge on how to get to the next meeting point.

On the way to our next point we see this vintage Vespa and Edward is excited.

  

Here she is at 38 kilometers and excited to be near the finish line.  Running buddy is still in there and they both finish.

     At the end of the race it appears people get a little more relaxed about the water cup trash.

Christina and Africia do a little dancing to the music on the way to meet up with Kim.

This is the wine we had at the restaurant across the street.  We had a wonderful CELEBRATION DINNER and Amarone wine for Kimberly’s Marathon Finish with Christina and Africia.
