Bordeaux, France arrive 6:30 am
A beautiful day in Bordeaux France. They are having a problem with the ramp from the ship to shore. They are waiting on the Longshoremen to come and more some barriers so the ramp will not be a SLIDE. The steep angle could be a real problem for the wheelchair and walker people for sure. They finally get the right angle and off we go.
We head to the Tourist Information Office and the Transit ESP office to purchase a Light Rail and Bus all day ticket. The Light Rail runs often and in several areas and it is all above ground. Very easy to use, comfortable with large windows. We took a tram to a large plaza and checked out an old Synagogue. It was closed due to being under repair. We picked one of the pedestrian walkways and enjoyed window shopping. Found a creperie and had a yummy crepe. Later on we took the light rail out to the Main Train Station.
A glass of Bordeaux Wine of course.
We saw several of the high speed trains. I’m sure one of them was going to Paris – or to the Mediterranean - 2 hrs.
A beach at a Lake in Bordeaux France
Yes, it is a little cool for swimming.
We found a bottle of Matus Rose a reminder of our first taste of wine. Don’t buy it. It was just fun to drink.
