St Malo, France, arrive 8:00 am depart 5:45 pm

It is a little bit warmer today, 70s but the wind it still about 15 mph so still feels cooler than that most of the time. St. Malo is an old walled city in excellent condition.

Many restaurants and shops were open and it was very crowded with people since the French had a holiday yesterday and another cruise ship was also here. It is amazing to see that St. Malo has the highest tides in Europe 2 times a day. I’m not sure how many feet but from the looks of the water line on the docks and all the boats that are moored in the harbor on dry land it is more than 20 feet difference. It changed while we were onshore so we really noticed it was a big difference from getting off and on the tender to/from the ship.

We met a young couple in a creperie that were from Paris in St. Malo on holiday. We had not been able to find a wi-fi hotspot and we overheard them speaking English and French. I ask them if they knew of a spot and since they were visiting also didn’t know of one then Alec remembered he had an app on his phone that could be used as a hotspot and let me log on to my computer. They were very nice and told us to give them a call when we are in Paris and we gave them our email address to let us know of some restaurant recommendations.

The last tender just arrived so we will be on our way soon.  Captain just announced the wind is 25 mph and it is 62 degrees at 6:00 pm.
