Paris France Saturday, July 11, 2011

We went to Sacre Coeur Church up on a high hill overlooking Paris today.  There are tons of steps to get to this church.  They do have a lift for a small very steep portion but the line was very long – it is a Saturday and all the tourist are in town.

Take a look at the Menu – Coke is 4 Euro ($5.75) and Pierre Water is 4.50 Euro ($6.50)and Wine is 5 Euro ($7.25)  This typical prices all over.

Later we went to the Piagalle Area where the Moulin Rouge and all the XXX clubs and bars are located.  It is not so bad in the daylight.  The show at the Moulin Rouge costs about 150 to 180 Euros!! ($217-$260 USD) This is for Dinner and Show, of course.  Also, 80 to 102 Euro for show only.  This is a big tourist thing that they must make lots of $$$ on now.

I want to show the elevator in our apartment building.  It is about 18” x 36”, just enough room for 2 people in and suck your stomach in as there is a folding door that unfolds when you push the button.  Makes a lot of noise.  I hope it does not break as we are on the 4th floor and I would not like walking up and down every day.
