After nine nights in Dublin, I miscalculated our hotel days and we were told that we were to check out that day and that the hotel was overbooked that night. So, rather than look for a hotel for one night, we decided to just catch the ferry to Holyhead, Wales and relax there for 4 nights rather than 3. We made it to the ferry just in time to get a ticket and head across the Irish Sea.
Lighthouse at the last point of land leaving Dublin.
Smooth seas on our crossing to Wales with Holyhead (pronounced Holly Head) in the distance.
Arriving at Holyhead ferry terminal. All signs in Welsh first, then English and the Welsh Dragon flag to welcome us.
View of the marina and harbor from our B&B.
A visit to St Cybi’s Church which is built inside the remains of an old Roman fort.

The ferry dock and container port in Holyhead.
Our lobster dinner tonight in the hotel. Much lobster is caught in the Irish Sea so nice and fresh from the water. Edward looks like he is ready and needs to eat.
